The MCBL final
was a matchup between top ranked CEPS and 5th seed Wolverines. In 2
regular games this season, the advantage definitely belonged to the top of the
leaderboard as they took both games convincingly. Tonight, status quo between
the opponents would not be, as the Wolverines built a lead by the half which
saw them hold CEPS to only 24 points. William Bedard tried his best to keep CEPS
afloat, dropping a team high 15 points and Christophe Prevost added 12 but it
wasn’t enough to catch their tenacious opponents as the Wolverines took this
one 62-45. Game MVP Sasha Louis carried the victors with a game high 24 points as
he led the team to their 1st MCBL Championship.
