The top ranked Black Eagles tipped off against the # 8
seeded Sporting Tuesday night in a battle for a spot in the week’s final. Despite
a big difference in their seedings, these 2 teams were at par the whole way
through. At the half, they were locked at 38 but the tops seeds managed to
break free, opening up a lead and eventually booking their ticket to the
finals, as they took this one 86-74. Steven Ho was solid once again, dropping a
game high 26 with teammates Jon Shadowitz and Julio Prado adding 23 and 14
points each. Sporting’s valiant efforts were sparked by Henry Hincapie, Alex
Rheaume, Gerzon Duarte and Omer Dia who finished their season with 23, 18, 17
and 12 points respectively.
